We live here.
We cycle here.
We know every road.
Moravia Bike Tours is a founder-led cycling company based in South Moravia, focused on self-guided, multi-day journeys through one of Central Europe’s most overlooked wine regions.
I’m Steven, the founder. I’ve lived and cycled here for over 15 years and previously led global customer service and experience teams. That background shapes how each tour is designed and supported, with a clear focus on making your experience feel smooth, well thought through, and personally looked after.
As a locally based operator, everything is built on first-hand knowledge of the region. You’ll also be supported directly by me throughout your trip, so if anything comes up, you’re dealing with someone who knows the routes and logistics inside out.

THE REGION - SOUTH MORAVIA, CZECHIA
South Moravia produces 96% of Czech wine, yet it remains almost entirely unknown outside Central Europe. The landscape rolls through vineyard hills, limestone ridges, UNESCO-listed châteaux and quiet wine villages where the pace of life hasn't changed much in a generation.
The cycling infrastructure is excellent — EuroVelo and Greenways routes connect the region on low-traffic paths and quiet roads. No crowds, no tour buses. Just you, the vines, and one of Europe's great undiscovered cycling destinations.
🍷
Wine Culture
South Moravia is Czech wine country. 96% of all Czech wine is grown here across thousands of hectares of vineyard. Welschriesling, Palava and Moravian Muscat — and the wine villages where they're made are some of the most beautiful in Central Europe.
⛰️
Mikulov & Pálava Hills
The Pálava limestone hills rise sharply above the vineyards, offering panoramic views across South Moravia and into Austria. Below them sits Mikulov — one of the most beautiful towns in the Czech Republic and a highlight of every tour that passes through.
🌎
Cross-Border Riding
South Moravia sits at the meeting point of three countries. Depending on your tour, you can cross into Austria's Weinviertel wine region and Slovakia's western hills — each border bringing a distinct change in landscape, culture and atmosphere.
🌄
Moravian Tuscany
The rolling hills of eastern South Moravia — known locally as Moravian Tuscany — offer some of the most visually striking cycling in Central Europe. Long vineyard rows, sweeping open countryside and quiet back roads that feel like they belong to a different era.
🚲
Cycling Infrastructure
The region is threaded with EuroVelo and Greenways routes — established, waymarked, low-traffic cycling paths that make multi-day touring genuinely safe and enjoyable. The infrastructure here rivals anywhere in Europe.
🏰
UNESCO Landscapes
The Lednice-Valtice Cultural Landscape is one of the largest designed landscapes in Europe — a UNESCO World Heritage Site combining châteaux, ornamental lakes, baroque follies and centuries of human craftsmanship. Every tour passes through it.
