Preparing For Your Tour

A little preparation goes a long way toward making your cycling tour in South Moravia relaxed, enjoyable, and stress-free. This guide outlines what to expect, how to prepare, and what to pack so you can arrive ready to ride.

Our tours are designed to be accessible and well supported, but they are still active holidays. Being comfortable on your bike and prepared for varied conditions will help you get the most from the experience.

Cycling Readiness

You don’t need to be an elite cyclist, but you should be comfortable riding for several hours a day at a steady, relaxed pace.

Before your trip, we recommend:

  • Regular rides in the weeks leading up to departure

  • Practising consecutive days of riding if possible

  • Spending time in the saddle you’ll use on tour

  • Getting used to riding on quiet roads and shared cycle paths

If you’re opting for an e-bike, the physical demands are lower, but basic cycling confidence is still important.

What To Pack

Cycling Clothing

Focus on comfort, versatility, and layering:

  • Breathable cycling jerseys or tops

  • Lightweight long-sleeve layer for cooler mornings

  • Windproof or light waterproof jacket

  • Casual off-bike clothing for evenings

  • Comfortable walking shoes or sandals

Laundry facilities are available on longer tours, so you don’t need to over pack.

Footwear & Accessories

  • Cycling shoes or comfortable trainers (depending on your type of pedals and preference)

  • Socks suitable for warmer weather

  • Sunglasses (ideally with UV protection)

Support equipment and basic spares will be available during the tour.

Documents & Money

  • Passport or national ID
